Hi, I’m Matt 👋
I'm SQL Database administator and I used to work at Microsoft as a Senior Escalation Engineer for four years, helping people solve tricky problems with Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance . I’ve worked with customers all around the world, and I’m proud of this job and being part of the biggest tech company in the world!

This blog is my little corner of the internet where I share what I learn. Whenever I run into an interesting issue, I try to reproduce it, break it down, and write about it here. Why? Because I love sharing knowledge, I love writing —and if you’re a database engineer, admin, or just curious, maybe it’ll help you too!

Achievements

I’ve collected a few certificates along the way. Honestly, the certificates themselves aren’t the big deal—it’s the learning journey that matters. For me, each new certification is a way to set a goal, stay focused for a few weeks or months, and dive deeper into topics I want to master.

Outside of Work

Life isn’t all databases! I’m a husband and a dad, and those roles mean the world to me. I’m also a big fan of coffee and love starting the day with breakfast at a local café ☕🥐.

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me catching up with friends, jotting down thoughts in my journal, or planning out new ideas. Staying active is important to me too—I enjoy working out and cycling, which are my go-to ways to recharge
